INFO TAPA (FILES)

The Tapa Foundation for the Arts and Culture organized the second phase of equipping museums and similar establishments of Côte d'Ivoire on Wednesday, 12 October, 2005, at the M'Ploussoué Park of Bonoua. This was followed by a workshop for all the directors.

Twelve (12) museums and institutions received computer hardware aimed at capacity building in the presence of several authorities of the country. The donation was made possible thanks to the contribution of a socially responsible company, Côte d'Ivoire TELECOM, official partner.

The theme of reflection for the workshop was :

WHAT STRATEGIES OF DEVELOPMENT FOR THE MUSEUMS OF COTE D' IVOIRE ?

The workshop helped uncover all the problems encountered by the museums of Côte d'Ivoire in terms of conservation, restoration, acquisitions, education, promotion, research, etc…

The participants made numerous contributions contained in the handbook produced to that effect. With all the resolutions, it is now for the Foundation and its president Mrs Silvie KASSI to find the appropriate means for the smooth development of these institutions, janitors of the common heritage, and providers of knowledge.
